Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline Fernandez was born in Sri Lanka and is an actress, model and actor she has worked mostly within the Indian film industry. Her 2006 Miss Sri Lanka Universe title was also taken by her. Her family is multiracial, of Canadian, Sri Lankan, and Malaysian descendance, Fernandez spent the early part of her life in Bahrain. Her degree was in mass communications from the University of Sydney and worked as a reporter for a television station from Sri Lanka for a considerable time prior to stepping into the modelling industry. In the wake of representing Sri Lanka at Miss Universe 2006, she has become one of the top models in Sri Lanka. She landed Jasmine's role in Sujoy Ghosh's 'Aladin' as part of her professional tour across India. Her breakthrough role came about in 2011 when she was cast as the female lead Priya in the film 'Murder 2'. Her career exploded after it became a critically and commercial success. Since then, she has played in movies such as Housefull 2 & 3, "Race 2", "Definition Of Fear" and Judwaa 2. Her work has earned her numerous prizes and has been a brand representative for several global companies.
