She and LeAnn Kymes were among the youngest recipients of a Grammy Award. Alison Maria Krauss (born July 23 1971) is an American bluegrass-country singer and musician. She began to work in the world of music in the early years of her life. At the age 10, she won local contests and recorded her debut album. In 1987, she debuted her first solo album, after joining Rounder Records. After that, she was asked to join Alison Krauss Union Station, which is the group she performs with. Her debut album together as a band was released in 1989.
