Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-English and half-Spanish woman, was born April 16, 1996 in Miami Florida. Half English mixed with Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker, and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. She is the daughter of an Argentinean who has Scottish, English and Argentinean heritage. She is Spanish with English roots. Taylor-Joy was born into a family with six kids. Four of her siblings are from the previous marriage to Taylor's dad. After being within Buenos Aires for six years The family moved to Victoria. Taylor Joy admitted that the transition from Buenos aires to Victoria was a struggle and she didn't learn English and was hoping to go home to Argentina. Hill House became her school preference after she was forced to change schools. Then she went to Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. When she was 16 she quit school in order to make a career of acting. Taylor-Joy was always aware of her desire to work as an actor. Her dream was granted a chance to try it by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management, who offered her an opportunity as a model.
